Not an "eggable" appetizer recipe and not new but a favorite of ours for over 30 years.

    We call it TEXAS DIP.

    1# ground chuck
    1# sausage
    1 medium sweet onion chopped
    3 cloves garlic chopped
2 to 6 jalapeno peppers with seeds removed finely chopped
    2# velveeta
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Brown meats separately and drain grease

    Melt velveeta with mushroom soup.

Mix all ingredients including the raw onion, garlic and peppers.

    Serve warm with tortilla chips.

This is a mighty fine and hearty appetizer!

    ENJOY!

No idea.  I have two butts in the fridge, a Costco pack of wings and a nice brisket flat (cooked before Christmas) in the freezer.  Options, I have options.

Great minds. That's what I was planning to make. May end up making a smoked queso, though.

We purchased a 1/2 hog this past summer. I somehow still have a butt in the freezer. Pulled pork for the big game this Sunday.

No egging.  It’s just me and a friend.  Also making a big pot of ham and bean soup.   The pitas are very good and much easier than making meat pies or empanadas.

Picked up this 3.5 lb brisket point today. Going to make burnt ends.

Any guidance on how long to cook before I cube, sauce and cook again?

Just made a peach barbecue sauce, it’s cooling off now. If it turns out all right I’ll post the recipe with a pork loin cook later.

Great to see you here-sounds like a true banquet.

I am self wrestling with cooking an OakBarn brisket point (4 lbs) or just defaulting to F'it and  a few wings and guac.  Brisket decision needs to happen Saturday... The polls will say 50/50 at this point.

I've got baby back ribs in the freezer that will likely get egged. Of course, I'll have to throw in some jalapeno poppers and buffalo chicken dip.

Wings. Local butcher shop had a jumbo wing special. 5lbs raw for $20. Grabbed a couple. Somehow that felt like a bargain compared to a few years ago

Popped a cherry with funeral sandwiches.  Google for the enlightenment.  Students swinging by to see this totally  American day of debauchery (besides Thanksgiving-which also has football)?

Awesome way to get the day underway right there @JohnInCarolina.
Regarding a dog in the fight-I always have some skin in the game to keep me more engaged although if not for that habit I would be much less interested given the two teams.

damn, buddy, you sure have a funny way of not admitting that you have bet on either team winning or some abstract betting scheme! Good luck either way!!!
