Found a sexy prime picanha in the freezer.
Pounded some garlic with coarse salt and slathered it on. Direct, about 475ish.
Pao de quiejo from scratch, leeks, and mashed pumpkin for sides (I know... poorly plated).
And, a righteous cap to a great meal... Basque cheesecake. Lighter than the New York-style, and so damn delicious.

Basque cheesecake:

Based on everything I read about what the taste and texture is supposed to be like, this recipe seemed to be the closest. I decreased the sugar to 300g, added vanilla extract 2tsp, and used a 9" springform pan.

But, I suspect that desserts are under the command of one of his spawn, and then I won't stand a chance.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
