What are some of your favorite "non-traditional" pizza topping combos? I already have a favorite BBQ chicken - BBQ sauce base, chicken thighs, bacon, pickled red onion, cheddar, and garnished with cilantro. Looking for other ideas like this, thanks!

pistachio, mortadella, and garlic - sounds like it shouldn’t all go together, but it’s great, this is a white pie, made without tomato based sauce
ricotta cheese, truffle oil, brie (thinly sliced) and green apples (thinly sliced) - another awesome white pie
blue cheese, hot honey, and nduja, over traditional tomato based sauce - always a crowd pleaser
tikka masala sauce, diced grilled chicken, red onions, mozzarella cheese, and cilantro - kind of an Indian pizza

One of our favorite non-traditional pizza when fresh sweet corn is in season is Elote pizza. The inspiration came from a Gozney recipe that @JohnInCarolina posted here a couple of years ago.
Check this thread: https://eggheadforum.com/discussion/1224929/ot-elotes-pizza/p2
I use crème fraîche instead of sour cream and black garlic instead of regular garlic for the sauce. Topped with fresh sweet corn, shallots. Finished with the lime mayo after the pizza is cooked. Parmesan only for the cheese, no feta. 🤤

Hot Italian Sausage and Pineapple. I like the heat and cool of this combination. Not non-traditional but good.Dave

We actually go with "pineapple and double pepperoni" - that gives the right ratio of salty/spicy and sweet flavors to make it perfect. The meat to pineapple ratio needs to be relatively high.XXL BGE, Karebecue, Klose BYC, Chargiller Akorn Kamado, Weber Smokey Mountain, Grand Turbo gasser, Weber Smoky Joe, and the wheelbarrow that my grandfather used to cook steaks from his cattle

Had these two at Il Piccolo Almafi
Zucchini blossomThe zucchini were grown in the owners garden. It did have a meat on it(crudo or Parma, can’t remember). Would have been better without. This one was interesting. The pie was baked basically as a tomato sauce only. Then added Parma ham, fresh mozzarella, thin sliced parmigiana and arugula. The crust was awesome. -
An old post -Repurposed some leftover pulled pork...
Korean Kimchi pulled pork pizza

Oh yeah, maybe the best pizza I've ever had - definitely the best I've ever made:
Leftover brisket with red onions - and using a 25% BBQ sauce/75% marinara sauce ...

Thanks all for the inspirations, my contribution
The Triple O - Onions, oysters and olives
cook 5-6 yellow onions until just barely starting to caramelize and allow to cool.
Spread cooled onions onto dough
Cover with shredded firm mozzarella
Cover mozzarella with two tins of smoked oysters
Distribute a small can of drained sliced black olives over the pie
Crushed red peppers and oregano to taste
Bake and then enjoy this twist on pissaladiereFiring up my XL Big Green Egg, KJ Jr. or Weber gasser in Salt Lake City -

"It’s supposed to be ham, but I went fishing"
Today was a perfect day to go hamming too. The hams were closer to the surface all day, too , just hamming it up. You probably could have caught your limit with just one small hook and a long hamstring. Heck, if you put some bait on your hammertoes and just dangled them off the side of the boat you'd catch plenty. As long as you don't, get hammered and mistakenly drift off into hammerhead territory because they'd try to hammer on your hammertoe nails, so you'd have to go back to the hamstring hamming method, but by then you're too hammered and all you want is a McDonald's hamburger, but when you get there, you see the menu and grow a hambone for a fish filet so you cancel the hamburger, and order the fish instead.
I get it now, better to skip the hamming and go right to the fishing, because hamming leads to fishing anyway.

My favorite non traditional pies are chicken based. One I make a homemade pesto for the sauce then cover with mozzarella and Italian seasoned grilled chicken and roasted garlic. My other favorite is Buffalo chicken pizza. I use franks hot sauce for the base mozzerella
and Jack cheese and then pan fry chicken cube it up and put on top, then drizzle homemade ranch.Rockwall, Tx LBGE, Minimax, 22" Blackstone, Pizza Party Bollore. Cast Iron Hoarder.
