Meat slicer brands

Anyone familiar with this brand? Think it’s pretty solid?

Albuquerque, NM - LBGE and an old rusted gasser that I use for accessory storage.

It’s a verticals slice, like a jerky slicer, top feed multiple slices at one time

I am sure the fine folks that founded Diy-a-rea meat slicer company had to have said it out loud, no?

theres a smokehouse i go to every few years that slices their pulled pork extremely uniform and thin. always thought they had some sort of sliding miter box slicer but this would be simpler. they bring it up to fully pullable and slice it, only seen this in new hampshire

Yep, I was trolling. Thought someone would have said something sooner, haha.

If I had the money to just spare I would love one of these flywheel slicers. If for nothing else, simply the nostalgia.

I’m a sucker for stuff like that.

Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

I don't have the money to restore one but I bought one when one presented itself. It's in rough condition but it's 99% complete. I'm a sucker.

I'll have to take a few pics of it one of these days. It's ugly but complete. The previous owner bought it from a local butcher shop here in MN that had used it back in the day. (One of the main reason why I'd imagine that it's complete. It was actually used and not messed around with.) The slicer became too new for the previous owner. (This particular slicer patent expired in the early 1920's) This guy was a hardcore antique collector. He was putting a shop together up in a barn loft that pre-1900's. His whole shop ran from drive belts and steam. So this slicer no longer fit the vision of his shop . (I'm tempted to ask if I could make a trip back to get a tour of his shop and bring my dad with. Really neat to see these old saws and presses run from years of restoration.) So I jumped on the opportunity when the slicer presented itself. I'll probably never have the extra cash to restore it but one can dream. Lots of nickel plating. Too neat of an antique to pass up.
