OT: RIP Taylor Hawkins

Dead at 50.

I'm not the biggest FF fan but Taylor was a beast on drums.

I sold my drums last year...wasn't playing them enough. But I spent hours "trying" to play Learn to Fly. Never got it right.

This one is a gut punch!
He was one of the best and seemed like a real great dude!
Will be thinking of his young family and bandmates today.

Good guy , good band .  One of the last rock bands.  I hope they show respect like Zeppelin did and end the band.  Hope they don’t pull a Skynyrd .

I can see that happening. Perhaps Dave does a solo thing with new players. Again.

Oh man. What a bummer. Saw them a few years ago when dave had the broken leg. Taylor was even wilder than normal since Dave couldn’t run around as usual. He will
leave a huge hole in that band. Hard to replace that energy and personality.

I have a feeling he squeezed more life into 50 years than most would do in 100. He’s drumming for Curt Cobain now and feeling no pain.

true, but he seems like the kind of guy who would have ingested those on purpose :)

I have seen the Foos twice before and was planning on a third time this summer. Taylor was an amazing drummer but he would also come out and sing while Dave played drums and he was great. I'm devastated but I feel even worse for Dave and Pat who both lost a brother for the second time.

That does make sense. Those things can certainly play a role in interactions with other stuff. Not saying that’s what happened and don’t care if it did. I’ve done a lot of dumb and risky stuff with booze and drugs over the years. It’s been a long while but I’m shocked I’m still kicking after all these years. I can say that back in the day (late 80’s/early 90’s) street drugs were cut with baking soda. Now it’s fentanyl. No thanks.

I started college about that time. My eldest sibling sat me down before I went off, and basically said "look, its not like it was back home. All kinds of shite is cut into the stuff here. If you're going to do any of it, make sure its only with people you trust." Passed on most of it.

I've traveled back from Colorado several times with a load of Gummies and weed. TSA is NOT looking for that stuff. They are there to keep the plane from going down due to weapons, etc.

Chances are low but not worth the risk. I know an individual who's wife had the day off so he went and washed/gassed up her vehicle for her. He was pulled over with a rear brake light out. He went to grab his wife's insurance card from the glove box and to his surprise he sees his wife's gummies. So did the officer. This individual was charged with a felony with the little amount of gummies his wife had in the glovebox. Since it was processed THC or whatever term he used it was a felony.  If this individual would have had the same amount of THC in flower/plant he would have been charged with a misdemeanor. Those gummies are no joke if you get caught.

TSA and local Po-Po are two different animals with different agendas.

If TSA finds any thing, they’ll either ignore or ask you to throw it out.

I repackaged the gummy’s so they’re not in the original package.

I’ve been driving for 45 years and I’ve never had a tail light go out. 🤷‍♂️

So the dogs weaving in and out of your lock step at the Denver International TSA security check point were not looking for the reefer?

They weren't in the original packaging either. They were lab tested. I understand how TSA doesn't have the time but I'm not sure it's worth the risk for a felony. Fortunately this guy works in a family business. So his job wasn't at risk. So he took the charge. His wife would have been fired from hers.

Which reminds me, the my brake light on my truck cab is out. (Double checking lights when using a trailer yesterday)

If they weren’t in the original package, I don’t understand how the cop knew they were gummy’s. Unless they were in a zip lock with “illegally gummy’s “ written on it in big letters.

He had no idea they were in the glovebox. He went and washed/gassed up his wife's vehicle to be nice. I'm sure his face said guilty when he realized they were in there. He told the officer that he had no idea what they were. So they took them and lab tested them.

The dogs also look for drugs along with explosives. (Sister-in-law worked for the airport for years)

    1. Your friend is not a poker player, is he.
    2. Was he convicted? Any decent lawyer could probably get this plead down or dismissed.
    3. TSA dogs do not sniff for pot.

Not up to speed on the markets these days, so am probably missing something.  Curious why you do not purchase your contraband locally?

THC gummies are not available here. Just CBD.

The flower I get from my BBQ food truck guy is pretty good but $100 for 1/3rd of an ounce.

In Colorado, I can get very high quality product for $40 - $50 an half-ounce.

I can mix a few different strains...Indica for sleep or Sativa or a hybrid for chilling with a nice Cabernet or bourbon.
