Cilantro

Stumbled across this article this morning and thought you people would enjoy reading it. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2021/dec/09/americans-eating-more-cilantro-soapy-to-sexy?utm_source=digg

Laughed at this this little gem.

If you had a party at your house, cilantro would show up in a sexy little dress, she would bring you a fabulous bottle of wine, and she would stay and help you clean up. Whereas watercress would show up drunk, probably throw up on the carpet and take your dog on the way out.”

I have heard some people think cilantro tastes like soap, but I have never met one of these weirdo’s. Are you one?

back in the old days when moms would make you wash your mouth out with soap for swearing, i took a bite, chewed it and swallowed it. did that every few weeks afterwards. no idea how she eventually lost it.....

I have done one of those DNA tests where it tells you where you are from, etc. etc.  I think it is 23&Me.

Anyway, they have all sorts of interesting things they can predict about you based on your DNA.  Like, whether you sneeze when you look at the sun, your eye color, the texture of your ear wax, whether you have dimples, etc.

One of them is whether Cilantro tastes like soap.  They predict that I am one of those people, but I have grown to like it as I have gotten older.  I don't think it tastes as strong as it did when I was younger.

    Weird.

Just Vote- What if you could choose "none of the above" on an election ballot? Millions of Americans do just that, in effect, by not voting.  The result in 2016: "Nobody" won more counties, more states, and more electoral votes than either candidate for president.

I love cilantro, but hate parsley. Any recipe that calls for parsley gets a dose of cilantro instead.

You can't make guacamole without cilantro, but you actually can overpower it if you add too much.

the pic says it all, you eat them before backing out their driveway. we lost the good syrian bread place to health codes, but you knew it was good after meeting the owner. he blew his right ear off firing a bazooka back in the day. his syrian bread oven was old school, beautiful settup

Cilantro tastes like soap.  But it is a mild taste so I'll eat anything that has it on it...
