it makes no sense how they can land on a branch high on a tree. solitary til mating season, theres a small wetland near me where they  go, meet up, and then take off for nh, maine and vermont,  you can see hundreds up in the trees and more on the small pond.

thats a big giant bird feeder.  my brittany thinks the herons are archenemies. just yell big bird and he is off and running, so far he hasnt caught one but he has landed on one and flushed a few

Had to call this thread back up to the surface, CBS's 60 Minutes just did a story on it.  They interviewed the guy who started it all, and he kept in character for quite a few minutes before falling to the floor in laughter, so cool!  He left college to do this farce full-time, while his parents (he's from OK) begged him to return to his college program in... Psychology.  He's sold a few t-shirts and hats, but now has a few TV/streaming/movie offers; I think he'll be fine and able to finish his Psych degree later (along with a fantastic, real-world dissertation in-pocket).  
Of course, he does have a few True Believers still following him, too.  Of course.

I grew up in an environment where I was told there is an omnipotent entity that would read my mind and I needed to worship it if I was to avoid banishment to a land of fire and misery.  Not too much of a stretch that birds aren’t real.  We are trained for this, folks.
