Dear Buffalo, BGE, and Santa

All I'm asking this year for Christmas is the "Agree" button" back, exploded view for images, and the option to get out of the quoted text box. Please, please, please!!!

I can tell you how to get out of the quoted text box.....  It's clunky, but works.

I just make sure to type a letter or two outside the box, before jumping into it to clean it up, and haven't had an issue.  Not clunky.

But, if you get stuck, accidentally, I use the </> button above the comment box and then after the "</blockquote>" I type a "</br>".  Then, click the </> button again to turn the html off and I can type outside the box.

Thanks. My biggest issue is that when you quote someone and when you start to type it automatically pushes you into the quote box and won't let you get out. I've learned just to hit enter before I first start typing but I'd imagine there has to be a fix for this on their end.

I don't understand why they would take the "Agree" button away? That's a head scratcher.

What I miss the most is the expanded view on pictures. I can't tell you how many times I've wished to explode a picture by clicking on it to read a label or to see something in a dish.

I completely forgot about the rotating picture issue. Good call.

Just a few wishes on my wishlist this Christmas.

Did you know we have guidelines?

It is really long, so I didn't read it.  It is almost as long as the current Tax Code.

The resolution on uploaded pictures is there, you just have to zoom in with your browser.

I'm here on my smart phone 99.8% of the time. I'm sure you can with your phone but what a pain. It was super slick before where you could just click on the photo and it would zoom in and than you could manual zoom in with your phone/ touch screen. I don't think the resolution is the same if you zoom in with the browser. (I could be wrong)

I agree it sucks whereas before we could click and get a full-screen image (and even zoom in on that).

Here's a link to a photo on this site I previously posted.  You should be able to see individual grains of pepper in the gravy if you zoom in.  If you zoom in and it just gets pixelated, the it's not working on your device.

I just tossed my phone over to my wife so she could look over Battleborn post. I see her tapping my phone and she goes, "How do you zoom in on the pictures?"

    Hahahaha. Can't make that up.

I caught myself in some kind of space-time-forum vortex… by reflexively looking for the agree button, when it’s not there, for a post asking for it to be reinstated.

I've never seen an agree and a like on a forum. Most time if I like it's the same as agree.  I thought getting stuck in the qoute box was only happening to me. Glad I'm not the only one.

It can take weeks.  Don't give up if the first few do not pan out.

The real problem is remembering passwords, not just getting one.

    Wow, poetry.

If you click 'quote' and attempt to edit the quote, or to click anywhere, you cannot "get out of the quote box" to type your reply.

Sometimes, you just want to highlight part of a quote, or cut out a picture so it isn't so long.

But, if you do not begin to type right away, you are stuck in the quote box and have to edit using html.

That's why many times a reply to a quote is contained within the quote box.

You have to move or ensure your cursor is in the white space immediately below the grey, quoted area.  Backspace once and it’s gone.  Other than that, it works fine.
    Love you bro!
  • The getting stuck in a quote box is (mostly) user error.

If you want to prevent that from happening, you need to first provide some text outside of the box.  And then you need to avoid deleting any space between your text outside of the quote box and the quote box itself, because what happens is you end up deleting the underlying html code.

Realistically, I don't see how the Buffalo can fix this, but he is the magic man so we'll see.

I type something first, with at least one blank line at top, move cursor to top, then quote.

To post pics in correct sequence (not orientation) type in a bunch of whatever, double spaced, as placeholders. Move cursor to first blank line and bring in 1st pic, then 2nd, …one pic at a time.
