Oklahoma onion burgers FTW again!

A buddy came down today and we had Oklahoma onion burgers on the BS. Man, so good. We washed em down with whiskey sours with the egg whites in em!

Man when I first heard of doing that with a sour I was like WHAT but the 30 seconds in the shaker with the whiskey cooks it and it comes out with a creamy eggnog texture. It’s damn good. Without the egg you gotta offset the bite by juggling with whiskey/lemon/sugar ratio.

I can’t get enough if the onions either. There’s something about paper thin slicing sweet onions and cooking them up. They almost create a French onion sauce.

Hahahaha. I heard they were an ole wartime dish with onions to compensate for lack of meat. They taste so darn good though. I should rename them Maine Onion Burgers.
