A few of us here are old enough to remember the ads on the back covers of comic books, one of the gadgets that always interested me were the “X-ray Glasses”.
I really wanted these, fortunately my folks kept a sharp eye out for me sending anything thru the mail. And I think I figured out the scam nature of such an ad before I even reached puberty.

It’s not for sale, but as it was made on a 3D printer I can see them sneaking onto the market easily. Might be fun at an adults-only party, but could also cause a lot of problems. May you live in interesting times…

Don't F with Mother Nature. The suddenness and the complete destruction in less than 40 seconds. I recently passed thru an area a few miles from my home around 30 minutes after an EF 2 tornado rolled thru. Watching a doc on PBS about Venus. I did not realize the soviets had successfully landed a craft on the surface, in 1982, and it transmitted for just over 2 hours before dying (it was quite hot, enough to melt lead). It supposedly even sent back a few photos? This is shocking to me, I have some digging to do tomorrow.
