But it would of never crossed my mind to try potatoes on pizza.
Similarly, I've never understood Irish pierogis; pasta stuffed with potato??
You don't understand pierogis in general, or is an Irish pierogi something different than the Polish or Ukrainian version? because they are probably my most favorite food when home made by mom or grandma. The store bought ones though... i see your point. Also a pierogi pizza is a real thing around here and is absolutely fantastic. If you have a Boston Pizza around they have a very good one

I really think the frozen pizza posts need their own thread, you know, to properly celebrate the frozen pizza.
    Love you bro!

Planning on making my first Detroit pizza in the Roccbox tonight.  Following the Gozney recipe pretty closely to establish a baseline.  Looking forward to it...

Just tried the Motor City Pizza from Costco and it is, by far, the best frozen pizza I've ever had.  Complex, herby sauce, nice crust and quite good pepperoni.  Can't comment on authenticity, never having been to Detroit, but this is pretty good pie for something which lives in a box in the freezer and costs less than $6 for 4 generous servings.

Planning on trying a 10x14 or an 8x10?

The latter.  A 10x14 would just barely fit in there, and I think the back end would end up being way too close to the heat source.

  • Saw someone post this in  a group I follow and thought to share it here - potato Detroit pizza with rosemary, sea salt and aioli.

Some of you would be all over this, I know.
The toppings are reminiscent of pizza I had in Rome. At first, I believed those potatoes to be pears. My mind was of course changed upon the first bite.

round 2 - mixed it up a bit - steak and blue cheese
What did you think of the bleu cheese? In general I don’t particularly care for it, but I haven’t tried it on pizza.
