Finished them up 400°F for an hour using my secret chicken rub that people have wanted to steal, like the election. Lawsuits were filed, the Capitol was attacked, but the secret stays safe. I will tell you the sauce was a blend of roasted chipotle, black raspberry, honey, bourbon, and sriracha. Dooooooooood. We poured a brilliant white burgundy type from Napa, perfect fit."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

Wings for the win right there. Lookin great.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Ron, the food looks great. I’m sure any small deficit in the food is more than overcome by your love of family and hospitality. Good wine never hurts either.I think it would be great someday if folks can get together and debate such serious topics as who makes the best wings. That’s far better than what folks fight about now.Stay well and safe.Coleman, Texas
Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

The sauce for the wings sounds like the best I've heard of yet. But... I don't believe they were that good. You'll have to prove it to me...#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
I hate to admit but I’ve been cooking air fryer wings.... and they are actually pretty good.... I just toss them in for twenty minutes, flip halfway, and then sauce with whatever people like when done. Too easy.Ron, yours look way better though. I’m coming to steal the rub.Chicago, IL - Large and Small BGE - Weber Gasser and Kettle

Bring it.
if/when you do, a great time will be had - with great wings of at least 2 kinds - and most of all great fellowship.
Your sauce sounds incredible.
I should also add that you caught me at a good time in that I just made wings last night and for the 2nd cook in a row they were not up to my usual standards. I've been settling for different/substitute ingredients.
When we finally get together, I won't make that mistake.XXL BGE, Karebecue, Klose BYC, Chargiller Akorn Kamado, Weber Smokey Mountain, Grand Turbo gasser, Weber Smoky Joe, and the wheelbarrow that my grandfather used to cook steaks from his cattle

That box of wine was a gift from a very good friend, I shall not name (Jeremiah), that was a gift. I plan to use that box of wine, in all my cooking photos moving forward.Funny story: I am at work, when I get a call from a person telling me I have a box of wine they needed to deliver, and asked if I would be home, that day, to accept it.I usually order wine by the case, and had one in transit at the same time, but it was not scheduled for home delivery for another 4 days, which caused me some confusion.
I asked if this was the shipment from Napa, and the guy laughed both hysterically and maniacally for a bit longer than normal, then said, “Dude this shît is not anywhere near the type of wines you get from there. I think you have been pranked.” I asked who sent it, he told me, and it put a grin on my face, at a time I really could have used it.
That box of wine will be my calling card, on this forum, as long as I participate, going forward.Moral of the story: Be careful who you pick as friends, but when you do, get one like Jeremiah. Great man, and a lot of fun."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

If you get the chance to try the roasted black raspberry chipotle sauce from Blues Hog, I totally recommend it. I added some honey, sriracha, and bourbon to it from a sauce @DoubleEgger had made and gave me the idea to blend together. Doooooood. It was killer.
Thank you for the kind words.

I’m coming to steal the rub. That rub is a mixture of a bunch of different sweet, spicy and savory rubs I have blended together from remnants that were just enough left over you just could not throw away, but not enough to use on the next cook, plus a a couple of real heavy shots of Tony’s. The rub is great, you just don’t need a lot of it, which took me a few times to figure that out.
The sauce was killer though. you might want to try it. I got it direct from “Blues Hog.” The modification was excellent as well.

I bow to the master. I am a hack that occasionally gets the right pitch to benefit my swing.I certainly look forward to having a great time and sharing all I know, (about 5 seconds) and learning far more.

I'm no master. I'm a guy who stumbled across a great combination of ingredients one Super Bowl Sunday when I mixed partial bottles of whatever I had left in the door of the refrigerator. Then I paid attention to experts on here and learned how to execute a good wing cook.
