How many pounds of meat could you dissolve in this vat (using lye solution)?

Seems like your little guy enjoyed it!It’s one of those things that you can tweak all kinds of ways, and end up with a win.And if you amped up the garlic, it seems like him and me would get along just fine.Personally, when it comes to garlic, my motto is “go big or go home.” Got to admit though, both my wife and I could still taste it the next morning. 😊

Spent way too much time drilling 6 holes in 1/4" porcelain tile. Tile is about 14 years old and hard.
Grateful I didn't shatter the tiles when I drilled to two left holes near the edge.
Used a Dremel diamond bit to finally power thru the two outside holes after my 3/16" drill bits gave up.
All six screws in the only wood stud that was near where SWAMBO wanted a grab bar.
18" grab bar for original master bathroom. High enough from the floor that it won't be an ankle knocker and easily reachable from the toilet to assist in getting up ... if we need it later. Next up will be a grab bar for our shower in the new master suite. That one will need caulk under the escutcheon. You have solid wood blocking behind those? Not enough to use molly bolts through the tile into any concrete backing board. EDIT: sounds like you are into a stud. -

Yes @lkapigian is correct. You burn charcoal in it and heat up the iron. Used for soldering (lead) around here with all the old buildings and historic districts
Vat is 23.5 x 23.5 by 35.5 inches.______________________________________________I love lamp.. -

@nolaegghead I have an old soldering iron like yours (not in as good shape). I have never seen a heater for it though. That’s pretty cool.Coleman, Texas
Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...

My buddy bought it to do some copper sheet work. Brand new. He ended up heating it with a propane torch. He's cleaning up his shop, hence all the crap I'm bringing into my shop last couple weeks (shop cleaning was a result of his quarantine - he has an apartment at his shop). Ended up testing negative, thankfully.______________________________________________I love lamp..

@SamIAm2 - these are kinda pricey, but worth not feeling like tearing your hair out. To me, at least.

Can be installed anywhere on the tile wall, stud or no stud. Used them to install a grab bar in Pops' shower.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -

@PigBeanUs - Thanks for the info, yes this installation is into a stud. Installation is not in a wet area (outside of a seldom used shower) so I did not add caulk. I will remember this when I add the grab bar to our shower. That one is going thru more porcelain tile, but into concrete block so Tapcons, Mollys, and caulk may be necessary.
@caliking - saw similar safety wall anchors when I ordered the grab bar. I may look into them if the current long, stainless screws in the stud fail in future. What did you use to drill two 1 1/4" holes thru tile? Just asking for future reference.

I've got a couple decent sized burls on the property. I'm hoping to slice them on a band saw and make some kewl charcuterie boards

Starting to think that I need to call my bank and offer help. Their mobile app and website have been down for two days. Small local banks have their downsides at times.

@ColtsFan - I could not reach my bank yesterday. They were getting hit by so many folks trying to see if they had received the second stimulus payment that their server/s were overloaded. Finally got connected late last evening. Imagine smaller banks may have had the same issue.Ubi panis, ibi patria.
