My proreins are relatively pedestrian, what weird things have you all cooked?

I guess mine would be a frozen pizza pocket on the Mini BGE.

Barnacles?  Did you scrape them off the hull and cook them?

ceviche with jalepinos and limes.  guide found some big ones out on a bonefish flat. made my day since we were having conch for lunch and conch is one food i cant stand unless its in a deep fried croquette covered with ranch. another thing that was weird down there, a fried blue runner, it looked like you could still let it go, and it was still bright blue. barnacle tastes similar to oyster to me

  • I'm boring. The weirdest thing for me was frozen tater tots on the egg. Either that or the crazy burger shaped bean concoction I grilled for my vegetarian sister one time. It was the last time I let her bring her own food for me to cook.

It is!!  I figured out you need to keep the lid open and put your grate at Fire Ring level.  Lid closed and/or grate at felt level, no dice.  Water will not boil.

I hear you have to put chips in because they burn faster then get it hot and close all the vents and the water boils when you're not looking.  But open the lid and it stops.  It's like Schrodinger's cat.

  • I see that the OP did not indicate that the item in question had to be cooked on an Egg, so.... frog legs.

From frogs that we caught that same day in the wild.  I grew up in NH that's all you need to know really.

Once  cooked a pig nose for my arrogant, assuming, braggadocio boss.  Not my fault he didn't have enough sense to look at the package before running his mouth to his buddies before opening in front of them in the lunch room.  I didn't last but a couple more months on the job, but it was well worth it to listen to his

My brother boiled a dead cat once.  And only once.

He wanted to construct the whole skeleton.  After the stench from boiling it (it was from the biology lab so it was preserved) he said F*ck it and threw it away.

I would have hated to be my mom.

    Then end.

    (or is it?)

When my sister was in nursing school I made the mistake of opening black garbage bag that I found in the fridge. Inside was a formaldehyde preserved, partially dissected, cat.
