Question about frozen meat

I have a rib roast in the freezer that is about 9 months in. Do you think it will be ok to cook this weekend? What about a Boston butt in its original plastic packaging.

I know multiple times my MIL has fed me stuff out of the freezer that was well over 5 years old. Not sure if that’s how she expresses her disdain for me or just normal behavior. Anyway no issues so eat away.Greensboro, NC

Just did short ribs from 2016 and they were great! Vac sealers are our friends.
