My 84 yo mother was diagnosed with colon cancer. She had a large chunk of her colon removed and maybe had some minor chemo? No problems with it again, even at her age. Can’t understand doctors who need to show photo’s of the offending items to families after...

@ColtsFan - first off, prayers are sent and wishing you the best.  Hopefully, this thing has not spread and they can surgically remove it.   I had part of my colon removed five years ago.  The surgery is not that bad (4 nights in the hospital in my case). You can beat this!!

To everyone else, get yourself checked.  With proper anesthesia, a colonoscopy isn't bad.  To all you Navy guys, you probably don't need any anesthesia.

Wishing you the best.  Your attitude makes a difference!  Having been through hell myself years ago with a botched surgery that led to necrotizing fasciiitis, I found that staying positive helped tremendously.

Surgery scheduled for 9/21. We’ll know more after that in regards to the next steps

Short and sweet update. 

Surgery went well today. I’ve been up walking and climbing steps 👀 already been discharged from Physical Therapy... lol
I should go home on Wednesday. Chemo starts in 4-6 weeks. 

I feel good. Sore but good. Thanks for all the support friends
