Thank you John. Marvin Gay, was the uncle of my team's High School QB. My HS QB went on to be the police cheif of Lexington, Kentucky.

I actually got to meet him, as he spoke to each of us before the State High School championship for our division.

As an artist, it was not unexpected, that his passion was also delivered in his speaking.

I will say this without hesitation, if you did not believe in God, you certainly did after hearing this man so elegantly deliver who we are, and what we are, and our potential moving forward.

We played our best football to close out the season, and into the playoffs, we had no Idea we would be playing for the championship.

In fact after losing our first game of the season 49-0 and half the players quit, we were down to 31 players,
    7 of those were injured.

I was o e of the several 8th and 9th grade players that filled out our roster. We played every game, by the end of the season, heading into playoffs, we were little, but we were ready.

For whatever reason, we seemed to be on cruise control. It did not matter.

We had to face the team that kicked our arses in the first game of the season, for the championship. We were just happy to be there.

We scored on a scooped fumble with 12 seconds left to play, putting us ahead 13-7. We missed the extra point.3 seconds left. We kicked off. The fastest runner in the state, scooped up the ball to keep us from kicking it out of bounds. James Gay, our QB, and the second fastest HS Athlete in the state of Kentucky, delivered a hit that separated the ball from the runner, bouncing into my hands. I was going to score, but my coach told me th o hit the ground. I did.

Unreal. We won. We held the highest scoring offense ever at that time to 7 points.

@JohnInCarolina, thank you for that post.

Sometimes, to make your team great you have to sacrifice me to win for us all. That is a message that has stayed with me forever.

I hope others will also understand this message and do their part, for our team, our country.

Thanks all for the kind wishes.

Taking a bow from the community for a while.

My area has been hit hard with covid 19. There are many children, which need help due to losing parents to the disease here in Louisville and across Kentucky.

Kind of redirecting our efforts to support.

I will drop in occasionally to say hello, but, nowhere near as often. Hope to be back getting flagged for whatever I have to say just as often as before.

If you get a chance to donate, please do.

    Stay safe, stay well.

    Love all y'all..

See you on the other side. PM me if there is anything you think I csn help you with.

    Peace.
