Brent was great at raising money for our charity.

I know you’re just messing with us, but none of us make any money off of this.  It’s actually just the opposite.

    BAM BLAST WEARABLES

I would like to take just a moment to provide some clarity regarding the purchasing of the wearables offered for BAM BLAST.

The amount listed on this thread is our cost. 6% sales tax is added, and for those who wish to have their items shipped, $8.00 is added for one item, $11.00 is added for two or more.

Last year we added $1.00 to the cost for charitable purposes only. Due to several being shipped, and these requests having multiple items per order, there were instances where those who ordered did not pay. The result was the loss of a few hundred dollars, of which, we had hoped to be able to contribute. We actually lost money last year prohibiting the shirts from being a charitable source of the offering.

This year, nothing has been added to the cost for charity. Should you wish to order wearables you will only pay what it costs us.

If you wish to contribute, while making a purchase we can facilitate that for you.

The Blast will always be a charitable event, even though it is often brash and certainly bohemian at times. The event on Saturday is always family friendly and a safe place for all friends to meet and share fellowship.

Any money donated will go direct to the charity. None of us make a dime off what we do. We never have, we never will. We work to make this event memorable for those who attend, hopefully encouraging you to return every year.

To all of you that have contributed thus far; Thank you for your support and your kindness for this event.

Looking forward to seeing all of you there.

I am testing out my Long Sleeve XL today.

I have to say I like the material much better than those from last year.

I am a big guy, and I bought an XL, just as I did last year, and the fit for me is exactly  what I like.

It is a light weight, cotton blend, with polyester wicking materials, so it will not shrink.

The best I can explain it; I use a lightweight, non restrictive base layer that provides free range of motion, for climbs going above 12,000 ft in the Summer season. This is just a bit lighter.

Worthy of the cost on such items I typically have paid $35.00+ for at outdoor sporting goods suppliers for similar.

Just did a 5 mile hike in 41⁰F, light breeze from the NW, in a LS and a fleece 1/2 zip pull over.

Performed as I thought it would, excellent.

    Worthy.

6% Kentucky sales tax from the shop down the street that is producing these for us.

We live in Louisville, Kentucky, it is applied to every purchase..

Just like when I order from Brooks Brothers, I have to pay tax on all purchases.

Our first order we have placed is for 58 shirts, and I wanted to thank each of you for your orders.

We still have several weeks prior to BB20, should you wish to purchase.

Thank you for your support of this event.

Good news - I can always use another shirt that breathes during activity.  The 100% cotton ones get so heavy.

I agree. That was one of the observations that propelled the research in something that would be a better and more durable wearable for those that buy them.

As with anything else, we always try to improve on the previous year's offering.

Also, with mountain climbing, specifically 2-3 miles+ above sea level, there is an old saying "Cotton Kills."

This is due to the exertion of the initial phase of the climb when the the lower level temps are warm, and the cotton shirt absorbs the moisture from perspiration.

When you get to temps much colder in the upper elevations, that moisture gets cold, or can freeze in extremely cold temps. The result is not good.

The material does wick away the moisture and will keep you dryer longer. Great for all seasons, for sure.

So far, we have earmarked for the charity, by donations along with purchases, $59.38.

We also have had 12 shirts donated for the raffle.

Thanks to all that have been so kind for the charity drive.

We are on a roll. You all, are the best.

When visiting a petting zoo, it's good to have a material that wicks away moisture.  You don't want that day time sweat to turn cold as the day turns to the evening.

Not sure I want to know what “moisture” needs wicking within the petting zoo.

With everything that has happened, the first shipment of the BAM Blast T shirts are going out this week.

A couple of orders have been held up due to inventory shortages, but should be resolved and shipped by next week.

Anyone who ordered a shirt or shirts that originally asked to hold until the event, we will do so. If you would rather have these shipped, please let us know and we will make the arrangements to do as you wish.

If you desire to order shirts please do so via pm.....also any changes in shipping as well.

Thank you for your participation. Looking forward to making this event happen.

Until then we wish you brighter days.

Wearing the shirt for the second time.  It's been a few weeks, since I wore it last time.  It's quite a bit tighter this time.

    Haha.

I thought it wouldn't shrink when I washed it????

Trying to set up a direct order and ship for those of you still wanting BAM BLAST tshirts.

Hope to have details for you tomorrow afternoon.

Since all business in Louisville has been shuttered, due to the Covid19, they too have had to deal with this.

This will help them out, big time.

    Thank you.
