One of my most favorite cooks ever.

Many years ago, decades in fact, when I was in college, there was a place in Lexington that did steaks the same way.

It was the place to hang during the late evenings. They had a college student special serving petfood grade steaks at almost nothing, for the broke students.

I started cooking our own the way they did theirs, with slightly better grades of meat, and I thought I did something great.

It was not, but when peanut butter, crackers and soup was all you had....

Great post sir. Thank you for sharing. Glad to see back. Please keep them coming.

Butter is up there with bacon in making stuff taste better. Proper butter, of course, not that spreadable stuff.

My Dad used to always put butter and a squeeze of lemon juice on his steaks. I still do today.

Almost always add a dollop of butter and garlic to steaks just after pulling from egg.

Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.
