My gorgeous wife was telling me that she doesn’t mind some country now and then. News to me.
Recommendations? She generally likes pop stuff.

I’d recommend noise cancelling headphones for yourself.

Hard to find anything worthwhile on mainstream country the last 15 years or so. It gets even worse closer to today's country.
I thought someone was pranking me and preset one of my channels to a rap channel in my truck. I pressed the preset country channel and noticed it was the same song playing as before. It's been 10+ years since I've had any mainstream country locked into my radio. My buddies like it. I think sounds like garbage. 90's or earlier is where it's at for country. Of course there are exceptions for today's country. Except you'll never hear them on mainstream country.
It's all thumping bass and singing faster nowadays. Lyrics aren't much different from artist to artist. Give me a little fiddle, a steel guitar, and a story. That's the good stuff Not going to find too much of that in today's mainstream country.
Unfortunately this is what country is turning into:https://youtu.be/2L5kE1-NOVc

Check out the Texas Red Dirt channel on Pandora. Almost everything mainstream country is nothing but the same old regurgitated lyrics about big trucks, guns, farm equipment, and beer set in a completely fake setting of some creekbottom that the “artist” has never experienced in any way. The red dirt/Americana scene is very raw and authentic. The vast majority of songs are written by true artists who can actually sing and play instruments. Some worth checking out are Wade Bowen, Cody Johnson, Jason Eady, and of course, Sturgill Simpson.

I prefer Chris Ledoux, George Strait (earlier stuff), Merle Haggard, Patsy Cline, etc.
If she likes more pop type stuff then she might try: Chris Young, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Old Dominion, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line
If she likes modern country with classic soul then try: Chris Stapleton or Jamey Johnson
The Texas Dirt Road is a good station, but that is an acquired taste. Ease into that.Don't tell your problems to people. 80% of people don't care and 20% are glad you have them.

Gary Allen, Jason Isobel and the 400 unit come to mind. Going a bit older and female Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton come to mind.

Big fan of this band - they named their first album Hick Pop Comin' At Ya
But I would also suggest Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit. I am not a huge country fan at all, but I do enjoy Isbell and where he came from - a band still together called Drive by Truckers. Sturgill Simpson and Chris Stapleton are good too. Always enjoy the classics like Willie, Cash, Kristofferson, etc. Country music in the 80s - 2010's to me is mostly awful trash - as mentioned its songs about beer and farm equipment. I really love Isbell's music and lyrics, speaks about love and life from various perspectives. -
That would be a lot of Marshall Tucker Band.Ellijay GA with a Medium & MiniMax

Not sure how I missed Colter Wall, but glad I know about him now. Good stuff.

When I worked in a saw shop, the boss always played country "for the customers". I p****d him off one day when I told him if he could play it backwards the dog would come home, the bank would give the truck back, & etc.
Having said that, I listen to the older country, 50's and 60's before the rowdy friends came along.
