OT - A Little Positive Karma
Some friends and I baked about 800 cookies, and my grandkids helped make 200 handmade ornaments. These were donated to the local community meal center to help bring a little joy to those less fortunate. It is easy to forget that not everyone sleeps in a warm bed with a full belly.
We made sure to involve our grandkids to hopefully instill in them the need to give back when possible.

Growing up, my dad didn’t always sleep with a full belly, or warm clothes, and lived through famine. And as a refugee for some time during WWII. He would often remind us when I was younger, “we are fortunate enough to not have to worry about _____”.
