most people don’t know that Glenn Campbell was one of the best session guitarists of all times and was a member of the famous “Wrecking Crew”. A name given to the studio players who played on many of the greatest hits of the 60’s and 70’s. There is an fantastic documentary out there about these amazing musicians. Watch it.

I cant play as well as John Prine (although pretty close) but I can sing like him . As with Bob Dylan, The man is a national treasure but golden pipes were not his spiritual gift. 

Always felt a bit this way about a national treasure of ours - Neil Young, in that I don’t think he has a great voice, but somehow, it still seems to work. 

He is Canadian.....but a treasure all the same. 

Given the Christmas season, I’ll give you a pass on this one.

Just discovered Tyler Childers a few months back.  Really good.  I think he is actually touring with John Prine on this latest tour.

Coulter Wall as well is worth a listen or two.

I had Todd on my original list but figured I would leave room for others to play. Great call in Townes. He belongs in any songwriter list. Guy Clark too.

For those that don’t know JP had a rare cancer that he calls neck cancer. Part of his neck was removed and he lost his voice for a year. Late 90s I believe. Too lazy to look it up.
