OT - Lifes reminders

Today my mom called and had the unfortunate news that a friend i grew up with was killed in a plane crash in southern Indiana today.  i had to look back and think of as a kid how we always talked aviation me wanting to design it and him wanting to fly it.  tonight i hope you all find your selves well and make sure you take time for those around you.  i know when i get home i am going to hug the family tight and take some time to enjoy them a little more.  if you guys would keep his family in your thoughts and prayers i would appreciate it.  he was 34 with 2 young kids and a wife at home.  i know he loved flying and today he will be missed.

So sorry to hear about your friend.  That is tough stuff, especially with the little kiddos.

I’ve gotten a few calls like that in my life.  I remember them all.  The time we all have is short, every day is a gift.  That’s my take at least.

Sound like he was doing what he loved, with such a young family, he will be missed more than most of us can even imagine. Always keep those you love close, let them go out and do their thing, but hug the hell out of them when they come home.

Definitely puts things into perspective and reminds us our day to day struggles are nothing.
