These are good. In the past I've gotten the Tellicherry at Penzey's. Not knowing I was running out and with Penzey's 40 miles away I ordered these. They're good, and cheaper than Penzey's. And I had them in 2 days.
Up in the northeast (or should I say "liberal acres"?) we have Marshall's and TJMaxx stores that unload brand name goods. Every now and then you'll find a jar of the mixed peppercorns for a few bucks, I'll grab a few. And saffron. Sometimes there are some deals there too.

I remember some charcoal company guy that said a couple years ago he would never sell his product in California cuz Cali was evil/commie/whatever.stlcharcoal said:

He got beaten down enough with requests, and saw dollar signs where there used to be gold. So he lawyered up, got insurance, had everything in perfect order and compliance, and three months after he started shipping to the forbidden territory, he got sued. Should have trusted his intuitions!HeavyG said:

This seems like a slippery slope.

I've read that there are a few people or groups that seem to file suit against everybody regarding Prop 65.stlcharcoal said:

Cali really should fix the Prop 65 "citizen lawsuit" provision to eliminate all those nuisance suits.

Now that's a lawyer with a heart of gold! He works for Hannity, but never charges anything for his time. He makes 6 figure payments for Trump out of his own pocket, and never even informs Trump that he did so. What a giver.

Can you just imagine the fire and fury out of Hannity were it exposed that Obama's personal lawyer also worked with Rachel Maddow?
No, seriously, think about that for a minute!

At least the only endorsements were from the Marines and Army. Could be some fuel for BB.

@stlcharcoal I was with a company that went thru that friggin deal (wood baseball bats) several years ago, and we didn't advertise them as firewood if they broke. As @HeavyG noted, there are fringe groups who just take the shots 'cuz they are there with every product line introduction.

So where are all the calls to boycott Starbucks? A photo of about two dozen protestors is all I saw. If this had been a ChikFilA, it would be an all hands on deck for professional protestors, bloggers, tweeters, etc.
-
I don’t remember any large protests at CFAs, mostly social internet stuff. The pics I found in google were strikingly similar to the Starbucks pics.

I guess if Starbucks had a policy to have black people arrested, or if the CEO had been saying that’s God’s way or something, I could see that. As it was, I was disappointed people did try to make it about the company. That seems like it was just an ignorant manager, not the company culture or leadership. But they’re addressing it anyway - closed for half a day nationally to try to train some of the stupid out.

The simple answer is separating a few employees from actual ownership or large-scale company culture. I can't stand Starbucks so I'll let others figure out which is which.stlcharcoal said:So where are all the calls to boycott Starbucks? A photo of about two dozen protestors is all I saw. The smart-ass answer would be that would-be protesters were assuaged by President Trump assuring folks there are some very fine people on both sides of this issue.

The analog here would’ve been the Starbucks CEO telling some radio show host that, due to his religion, he didn’t believe in interracial marriage. Had he done that I can guarantee you there would’ve been significant backlash and he probably would’ve been fired.stlcharcoal said:So where are all the calls to boycott Starbucks?
