Sometimes the tortoise wins- Green Lightning Shrimp

This was one of those recipes I have had on my list forever. I have seen it posted, on the forum, time and time again and it continued to reminded me that I needed to check this one off the list.
Well, I finally got around to it and dang... why did I wait this long.
Ended up being one of those special meals where, after the first bite, my wife's eyes quickly cut my way.
Really outstanding meal- if you all haven’t made this one yet do it. Do it now, don’t be the tortoise I mistakenly became.
Thanks to @NecessaryIndulg for the green lightning shrimp recipe.
The only mistake I made was dialing back the jalapeños to 3 and there was very little heat. Next time I will follow the recipe as is.
I started with the scallions, jalapeños, and garlic in the food processor. Added the spices, EVOO, and cilantro to complete the marinade.

I applied the marinade to 3 lbs of 13/15 sized shrimp for roughly 35 minutes. I didn’t realize I was out of skewers so had to make do.
Grill was roughly 450 and grilled the shrimp for approximately 3 minutes per side.
After cooking I poured the Kerrygold/garlic/cilantro mix over the plate and then spritzed with the juice of 1/2 a lime.

Added some fresh teriyaki green beans and rice.
I won’t wait as long again to make this one.

Looks fantastic! My wife can't stand, and I mean can't stand cilantro, doesn't want to be in the same ROOM, practically, so I've never made it. Sure sounds good, though!

Nice. I've made this a couple times and it has always been great.
Cilantro can be considered optional.Plymouth, MN -
Just as you, I too have seen this recipe and wanted to try it. The cilantro is the speed bump for me. My Beautiful Wife is one of the folks, that genetically has a problem, with that herb. Any suggestions on a replacement? Basil?
Beautiful cook as always, champion by far. Thank you for sharing."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

Looks great! Have made this recipe quite a few times and we love it. Ron, In my opinion the basil might be the wrong herb for the marinade. I’m with Wolfpack with the possibility of using parsley.Dacula, GA LG & MM BGE's

Leftovers ended up in a “breakfast in bed” feta/shrimp omelette for the wife.
Shrimp were still as good as last night.
