    I don’t have the sense that the sparks really bothered CarolinaQ here, but for the folks who are bothered by sparky lump, maybe consider cooking with something other than fire.

    Correct. Didn't even think of it til someone else mentioned it. I long ago learned not to wear polar fleece when egging. =)

    That's a solid recommendation, for those longing for neutral flavored charcoal. Lol

    Yeah I didn’t mention any particular brand, because the lump fights have always seemed kind of silly to me.  Cook with whatever you like and can afford I say. Beyond that, I really couldn’t care less.
