Sweet n Spicy Hawaiian Babybacks

bgebrentbgebrent Posts: 16,485
The marinade ingredients went through the food processor and contained cilantro, garlic, fresh ginger, hoisin, soy sauce, honey, gochujang and Chinese five spice. This was on the loin backs for 24 hours.  The marinade base was also added to lime juice for the finishing glaze.  Garnished with scallions and toasted sesame seeds.  N made the jazzed rice and marinated tomato salad.  Do over!  Cheers.

Glaze on.

That looks fantastic. I need to look outside the box more for cooks like this instead of the same old same old for something like ribs. Thanks for the inspiration.

Rofl....I've only been married to her for 34 years and we have been together for several more.   We are both too old and lazy to get a divorce.   =)

If it makes you feel better...my wife recently turned vegan.

@bgebrent the ribs look phenomenal, but I'm gonna need that marinated veggie and rice recipe...

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

@bgebrent ; Nice looking plate right there- as usual.

@SmokeyPitt ;  Are you confident that's not her way of asking for one?  (hoping not, but a vegan?!?)

Smart guy. I used peach wood, nice kiss.  The marinade/glaze drove the flavor however.

Beautiful cook, and of course, baby backs. Very fine job on the marinade, and of course, Nicole's presentation of sides, with the Hawaiian baby backs is unbeatable.

I would make a fool of myself, in record time, with a meal such as that.
