    Growing up I always thought the saying was “couldn’t make end meat”. I figured it meant people were struggling enough that they couldn’t even buy end pieces of meat which I figured was the worst part of a cut (as opposed to a nice middle piece).

    We couldn’t make end meat, so we had to sale a bunch of our furniture. I know its hard for you to except, but it had a profound affect on me. I’m sure your feeling sorry for me now.
