Couple of questions since I never spin one open like that; or spin one period.
What is the approximate temp at the bottom of the pig?
What is the approximate cook time for an 80 lb pig?
Did you stuff his belly with anything?--------------------------------------------------

I've never stuffed one. Usually I do about 110-120lb pigs. They take about 9 hrs. This is the first small one I've done and it's cooking fast! Currently reducing the heat since the host wants guests to enjoy the social atmosphere of the pig cooking when guests arrive.

I think this is awesome. My wife, not her kind of surprise. she usually isn't crazy about seeing the face.

That whole thing just looks AMAZING -- way cool! Fun to watch even by long distance, and without the fragrance in the air that I bet was drawing in the whole neighborhood.
