OT-Do any of you guys and gals enjoy recreational Shooting? OT
Just wondering do any eggheads enjoy shooting sports? Clays, plates, or what not?
My wife and I enjoy going to the range once in a while. Keep in mind we can't hit a bull in the butt with a bass fiddle, but it's a good stress relief from time to time.

Oh yeah, I'm a shooter. Glocks, ARs, long guns and plinkers. Getting more difficult with older eyeballs but I can defend myself.Jacksonville FL

Enjoy shooting a lot. Mostly range shooting, some outdoor blasting. Mostly for proficiency in self defense. Good stuff.Sandy Springs & Dawsonville Ga

Absolutely. Sporting clays are more fun than trap and skeet for me. I like plates with pistol and rifles because of that clank. Paper targets a good to sight the gun in, after that, give me a tiny plate. Full-auto SMG's are my favorite though.

Hell yeah I like to shoot. In fact, since I was a kid, I have a great big fat friend that likes to drive golf balls. He can't play golf for crap but he can dive a ball out of sight. We get out in the middle of our 85 acre field and let him get behind us and knock golf balls over us and we try to shoot the golf ball. Been doing that since we was probably 12 years old. Talk about a blast.

5 stand gambling is where it's at.

Yep.
Mostly clays in the backyard. Lots of land behind us.

Sporting clays and precision rifle. Range I go to (tomorrow is first time in about 4 months) goes 100 to 500 yds on short side and out to 1250 yds on long side. I'm currently focusing on 500 yds, 2.5 in steel swinger with my rifle. Great for concentration.Near Music City in the Boro

Used to many years ago. The only "real gun" I still have is an old Colt Python .357 Magnum but I bet I haven't fired that in at least a decade.
About a decade ago I got a competition grade air pistol (.177) that I love. I like the meditative, zen-like aspect of that type of shooting. I also like it because I can set up a standard 10 meter range in the long hallway of my house. Can't beat the convenience.

I'm starting to get into guns. Definitely a beginner and enjoy learning about them. Majority of my friends think that owning a gun will put you in jail or kill someone. (Roll eyes) So everything I'm learning is on my own. My Dad owns a couple rifles and only picked up a handgun after I did. My wife also purchased one. I'm looking forward to getting to the range with her. Lots and lots to learn yet."The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon.
