Used to shoot a lot of rifle, .30-06 and .22-250. Now I'm into 10mm's and S&W Revolvers.

I've taken a few deer with the handguns, its quite a rush. Got a nice buck with my 10mm Sig Sauer last year.

  • Absolutely I love to shoot this is my favorite 22 I use it on my dueling tree. My brother and I get pretty competitive against each other. It's a great stress relief. Now I want to go shooting.

Dueling tree is a ton of fun. My 15 yr old consistently kicks my ass.

Growing up I did quite a bit of small game hunting. We shot clays in our front pasture and rifles in the back pasture that backed up to the woods. Now, SWMBO and I hit the range occasionally with sidearms. We're both pretty decent shots. She's a Smith and Wesson gal, and I'm a Glock guy.

Competitive pistol, 3 gun, steel challenge, plinking anything to enjoy shooting. Google USPSA matches or go to USPSA.org and check it out. Do not be intimidated by what you see as you can start with the basic set up and move on if you so desired to bigger and better equipment. I guarantee if you go watch a match and then participate you will be hooked on the drugs of brass, lead, and powder.

Was shooting at the indoor (AIR CONDITIONED) range with VI till he started having shoulder problems (now we just go to lunch).
I get to the range about 2/3 times a month.
Much better now that I have went to a couple of Sig P238's. Can shot them all day shooting .380's.
Just got a new Glock 19 gen 5 and only had it once to the range.
Got to tell you the small Sig is a fun gun to shoot. Also the gun I carry as it fits in pocket so easy.
These Sig's are just fun to shoot.

I have a weakness for registered sporting clays, both 12 and 20.  Once a month I compete in a CMP style match, a few ARs but most of us shoot Garands. Each month our club hosts rimfire silhouette, both rifle and pistol.  We have active youth programs and many of our members are female.  Oh yeah, we combine shooting with BBQ.  We take turns at the cooking responsibilities, some us cook while the others shoot.  Good times for everyone!
Blessed are the flexible for they shall not get bent out of shape.

I have come to love PCP (pre charged pneumatic) air rifles.  My favorite is a .22 SPA which puts out around 50 ft. lbs. of energy, plenty to take small game, yet requires no hearing protection and does not make the neighbors nervous.  Cheap to shoot and provides exercise as I hand pump.  Getting the rifle pumped to 3000 psi is a decent workout.

I shoot an air rifle in the garden - targets, rats and pigeons. Guns are not easy to own here in the UK, rifles are tightly controlled and hand guns are a no-no.

This is funny.  Wilma & I just bought Ruger Mark 3's last week.  Hers is a Hunter 22/45 (polymer frame).  Mine is a Mark 3 Hunter (stainless).  They shoot nice, but need a little mods.  That's my project tonight.  I wish I wasn't stuck in a class right now!

Since Trump was elected prices have dropped sharply on guns and ammo.
Dems drove the prices way up, they're low right now.

Fully agree. The best thing is Glock and Sig will both sell you BLUE LABLE (same price as cops) if you are military / retired military or (In my case) have a VA card.

It wasn't the Dems that drove prices up. It was the NRA and their relentless, baseless fear mongering that created panic buying. Much to the glee of gun manufacturers.

You are saying Obama & Clinton had no LARGE part in the gun selling run up ( with a straight face)?

Where's the fear now with the Republicans in charge? Hint - there isn't.
