Nope and stock prices for manufacturers have nose dived, those pesky NRA guys are to blame. This means better consumer pricing and availability, good times.Mickey said:

Groundless fear of what "the Dems" might have done, egged on by the NRA, was responsible. During Obama's tenure he only signed two pieces of legislation regarding guns - both of which actually expanded gun owner rights.Mickey said:HeavyG said:

You are saying Obama & Clinton had no LARGE part in the gun selling run up ( with a straight face)?
Ginned up fear is a powerful motivator in creating mass panic and creating shortages and increased prices. The "Great Toilet Paper Shortage of 1973" is a perfect example.
Now that they can't blame Obama, the NRA's latest scare campaign is trying to recreate the panic that they and gun manufacturers enjoyed profiting from for so many years. So far gun sales are still dropping so I'm guessing the NRA is going to have to kick it up another notch or two. Should be "entertaining".“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K. Diçk -

But only shot it the one trip. It's a bedroom gun so not worried about it. For the truck and to carry I will stick with
the Sig P238's.

I myself have always gravitated towards mouse guns. I do have bigger, but I love my little ones. In fact I just ordered a Kahr CW380 yesterday. I just don't trust this in the wintertime. I call this the gun I carry when I can't carry a gun...gun.

I guess I could go with this but dang it hurts my had when I shoot it enough to be proficient.

That is odd, they undercut the trigger guard on the G5 to prevent that. I've never had the issue myself though, hand sizes are the variable.Mickey said:

I have had a P380 since they first came out......so much better than LCP's, KTP3AT's, KTP32's, etc that I have had in the past. I think I'll invest in gun stocks if it's looking like a democrat will be president next“There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body.”

The NRA safety class is excellent. There is also a program called Women on Target. This program is taught mainly by female instructors for women. It is designed for beginner. I am a certified instructor and have participated in several of these programs. I really enjoy working with the ladies. We have also had several men join the ladies.
Check the NRA website for classes near you. Make sure the class is NRA sponsored as you can be sure you will get good info.

Count me in! We always try to get some shooting in at least once every couple of weeks. It ramps up as we get ready for dove and duck season. Mostly clays but I usually break out the HK or walther and run a few magazines through to maintain muscle memory. The HK vp9 is my new favorite, that thing is wicked accurate. Quite fond of a good 1911 too.LBGE

I'd love to get my hands on a HK P30SK. They also came out with a VP9SK more recently. Good to hear you like the HK. I'm tempted to sell the SW Shield. I'm just not sure it's worth an additional $350+ after what I could sell my Shield for. It's also a little on the heavier side for carry. The weight is probably justifiable with the quality what carries with it. I'd love to own a HK thoughTideEggHead said:Count me in! I pocket carry the PM9 quite a bit. For the past few months, I've chosen SW 642 more often than the Kahr. That's an air light .38+p revolver. It's lighter and I've always been a wheel guy at heart.stlcharcoal said:

I would love an SK too! The wife has a shield, she's just not as accurate with it as the HK. I definitely wouldn't consider the vp9 as a daily carry, that's why I have a walther pps too. It is heavier but once it's in your hands it fits like a glove and the weight is negligible. The HK pulls nightstand duty and range duty, it's perfect! I debated a lot on whether or not to get one and I am glad I did!WeberWho said:

This was my last project, first AR, and gets me from 6 to midnight the fastest.

Still need a Vickers 221 sling, and KNS anti-rotation pins, but the hemorrhaging stopped just in time for a new roof. So glad I did it then. Lol
I do need to grab a few more preferred FDE Gen 2 PMAGs....always somethin'.
