Great looking wings. And way to practice for National Chicken Wing Day, July 29th.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

I used the 30-20-10 method at 375 dome temp on my medium. This method states 30 minutes then flip, 20 minutes then sauce, then 10 more minutes followed by another saucing. I used flour with a bunch of seasoning salt, granulated garlic, and pepper mixed together. I dry dredged the wings in the dry mix, and then put them on the grill. The sauce was franks hot buffalo, boiled down with a little butter, brown sugar, and a small amount of flour to make it stickier on the wings. The wings came off the egg like they had been fried, and they were awesome. More pics:

Sorry for the hijack but it's wing related...
I bought some Heritage Farm brand wings from Kroger on Sunday for the first time because they looked like they had a lot of meat on them as opposed to the usual Tyson wings that I see there.
i did my normal prep of cutting the tips off and seasoning with sucklebusters rub and let them sit for about 4-5 hours before putting them on the egg at about 350.
They came out crispy with great color but my first bite into a wing told me that there was way too much salt. I've cooked wings the same way the last few years and the only difference this time was the brand.
Do some brands soak their wings in some kind of salt solution before packaging? If so, is there a way of rinsing any of this or soaking it in a water bath to get rid of some of the extra salt? -
Got mine started. They were half frozen but that should work out alright
-
@CincyEgg, I buy my wings from a store that sells them natural, no injected brine. I dont think you can rinse the brine from wings that have already been injected with the solution. I could be wrong but I believe it's more than a surface thing.
-
@Gulfcoastguy - it's gonna be a good day for you, let us know how they go.
-
Well the Walley World wings said no added salt or hormones. They turned out better than the steaks that were gasser cooked. Definitely glad I egged them and carried them.
-
Awesome

I so need to do some wings. Those looked great.Marshall in Beautiful Fruit Cove, FL.
