I'm doing an HEB Prime One Brisket, some magnum loads, and pig shots.  Maybe more but that's all for now.

The July 4th cook will come into focus in a couple of weeks.  The meaning of the day is always present.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Very cool!  I've been trying to get my in laws (arrived from Germany in their mid 30s) to host or cohost a Germna reunification Day party since I've known them, and they could not care less about it.  They are Red, White, and Blue thru and thru!

No Eggs here. On the Second Linda and I are driving to Boston to meet my Daughter and two Granddaughters at the airport there. Spending the next week driving around New England and then putting them on a flight from Portland Maine and we will drive back.
We put 75k on a new 2014 Sienna van when I retired 3 years ago and bought a new one to start again last month. This retirement thing is friggin great guys.
Need pictures of the cooks please.
Salado TX & 30A  FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now).

I'll be at my in-laws' on Cape Cod.  I'll cook something (usually chicken and/or burgers or whatever people seem to want when we get groceries) on the 13" Weber I bought them and/or their old gasser.  It will all be good.  Probably washed down with some Allagash Curieux.

+1, even though I haven't done it in 20 years. It isn't always the first place sunlight hits the US, but it's a wonderful experience.

No, but I enjoyed sharing the celebration with the greatest country on earth. I grew up proud to be born in the USA. I think it is one of my greatest accomplishments, ever.
I, just as you, enjoy the day to the max.
I do tell everyone my birthday wish is for everyone to get the day off, so they can enjoy some time with friends or family.
Have a Happy 4th, and have a Happy Birthday Ron.

I'm hosting a get together on the 1st for 25-30 folks. Been pondering what I'm going to do. Likely going to cook a SRF black or two and a couple of butts so I can use FTC to my advantage. Stuffed mushrooms, and ABTs will be among the appetizers. Chocolate Pot d'JIC for dessert.
