I had a buddy that ironed his undershirts. That's hard core.

Cotton kills. That is backpacking terminology, due to the way the fiber absorbs and holds moisture, which can make you colder in the winter, and extremely uncomfortable in warmer weather. Look for sporting T Shirts, they are a bit more expensive, but work very well."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

I always wear them when wearing a button down or suited up. I thought the main reason for them was to absorb sweat, keeping it off your outer shirt. Due to this reasoning, I never could wrap my head around the wife beater. Serves no purpose. Can't be for looks???Apollo Beach, FL

It's amazing the things that become mega threads. And yes humidity is heck. I learned not to wear cotton underwear in the summer or I could get heat chapping that Gold Bond couldn't touch. Synthetic boxer briefs by Adidas exclusively.

Now how do you define an undershirt? Does it have to be a white "Hanes" style or does any T under another shirt count.
Personally I'm a fan of black T's as undershirts, not the traditional white. Or grey or even blue on occasion.
Or aren't we doing undershirts anymore?Mt Elgin Ontario - just a Large. -
As a LEO, always wore a white wicking T under my kevlar vest. As a mortgage banker, wore button downs without a T, retired and toured the country in our RV for 10 years and never saw a suit or tie much less a T, now having decided to return to the workforce as a tax analyst, wear Nike Dry polo with khaki pants. Of course, I live in Nevada where the dress code is much more casual than most major cities.Michael
