New XL egg and table

Hello,
I have followed the forum for a while and learned a lot from everyone here. I just built a table from cedar and purchased an XL. I am new to charcoal grilling, so I have much to practice. I chose to remove the felt gasket that came with the egg and install a Rutland from the start. Thankfully the felt gasket came off fairly easy and following Ron's instructions made for a simple install of the new gasket.
I purchased here in St. Louis from Ferguson Enterprises in Chesterfield, $1099, I thought that was a decent price. Table nest for $28. Hopefully others can benefit from that info.
Mine must have been stored for a while because it did not come with the newer handle that has a lid keeper incorporated in it. I contacted Duane in customer service at Big Green Egg and they shipped a new handle immediately. Great customer service! I will post cooks and questions as they come.
Dave
