Yep, that wasn't correct - certainly not for everyone - and he shouldn't have said it.

But it's also important to understand why it wasn't true.  It's because the ACA set minimum standards for all health insurance plans. That meant that some plans which didn't meet the minimum standards weren't allowed to continue.

As for what Rachel Maddow thinks of you... you're on your own there.  LOL

The foreign press is way more liberal than the domestic. Life is all about perspective and respectfully, I'll take mine over yours when it comes to our issues. You would be smart to do the same with respect to your issues. Look up and see if all press has always been granted access to every event? You guys are so knee jerk and superficial it's hilarious...

7th time's a charm - so what media sources do you read or listen to daily? Still curious. And still unanswered.

It's irrelevant. Why would you possibly care. I don't play those dumb games.

The sum of all these bitches amounts to nothing. What single issue of any substance is a problem for you.
European (foreign) press is definitely liberal by the US definition because our Governments / electorates are liberal on issues that divide the libs and the cons in the US. Abortion and gun control are completely absent from the debate and, until recently, the Left - Right divide is largely economic.

So the left suddenly cares about accountability while the right has suddenly... forgotten about it?  Do I have that right?  LOL.

I actually don't think that's fair to either side.  Certainly at the moment there are more than a handful of conservatives and GOP representatives calling for independent investigations into the White House's ties to Russia.  I guess not everyone agrees with the characterization of some of the facts there as "fake news."
Accountable for what? It's been a month.

Oh, but he knew that. He knew and he lied. So as always it's ok, because he and you know what's best.

LOL.  Palin is a weapons-grade moron who abandoned her governorship. She shouldn't be allowed near heavy machinery, much less the highest positions in government.

There is a rumour that she is going to end up as an ambassador here in Ottawa.  Sad times.

Not surprising, but honestly disappointing that even that leaks out.  I wouldn't criticize the environment or actions, I find fault with people that are being disloyal and breaking confidentiality.  They should find other jobs.

Media leaks are part and parcel of any administration.  Expecting members of the WH to not speak to members of the press is idiotic and eventually, counterproductive.

What is this Cambridge police incident?  I live not too far from there. Beginning to wonder if this is somewhat akin to the Bowling Green "massacre".

Of course it happens, of course there is a history of this, but that doesn't mean thy can't pursue plugging leaks.  Content and extent of leaks is important.  This happens in businesses too, and is similarly pursued.

It's the incident that culminated in the "beer summit" thing under Obama, back in 2009.   The whole thing was dumb.

The piece pretty clearly states that Spicer was bugged about some unflattering info getting leaked.  This isn't over concerns related to national security or classified info being leaked.

They're welcome to try and plug leaks, but it's obviously a fool's errand.

A black professor returned home from a trip and was locked out of his house. He and another guy were breaking into his home. Someone driving by saw this and called the cops. A white cop (therefore a racist) arrives on the scene and by then they had gained entry. He tells the cop it is his house. The cop asks for I.D. The professor refused. It escalated. The professor gets arrested. Obama says "I don't have all the facts, but the cops acted stupidly."

Every administration complains about leaks they don't like while simultaneously intentionally leaking stuff they want to get out to the media "unofficially".

I have no problem with what is reported they did or why.  I'm not aligning myself with Spicer, but if I had people on my team doing this, I would absolutely address it.

Nixon had his plumbers. Trump has Vanilla Spice. Would anyone be terribly surprised if they met the same fate?  The betting markets are bullish on Trump not serving out his full term.

As to the leaks and cries of unfairness in anonymous sourcing, administrations can't have it both ways -- complaining about leaks and unnamed sources while simultaneously insisting that quotes be attributed to "senior White House officials" is disingenuous at best. Every administration in history -- ALL of them, including the last one and the present one -- has leaked and used unnamed sources when they thought it would serve their political ends. The difference now is how brazenly they complain of "unfairness" and brand the media the enemy of the state when they don't like the coverage. It's not at all about the substance of the reports; it's demonizing the delivery source so every bad fact can be called unreliable.
    It's a 302 thing . . .
