Skimpy meal

been fiddling with the grill grates since seeing so many awesome posts here and elsewhere. Got a set at the shop for the Traeger and weber gasser. Brought a set home for my LBGE and it will double on the Primo and gasser. They work. These pics don't do them justice because they are of some rabbit food and some real lean and thin sirloins I eat on my "no fun Pete" diet. Oh well, here they are.

Not bad looking diet food.  Are you part of the weight loss competition?

I'd hit all of that Pete!  Grates sure do set those grill marks.

That diet can be immediately improved by chasing the groceries with some adult supervisory beverages.
That said, great looking cooks and those are top tier grill marks.

I'd sure like to try them on something other than an ultra lean piece of leather. Lol

That day is right around the corner. Right now the enjoyment of any adult beverage is strictly off limits. Thanks

It's not that bad. The key is routines and consistency. Thanks

30#. I'm a roller coaster unfortunately. I'll try to loose another 15-20 over the next 2-3 months.

    How bout you?

I'm hoping for 40-50. I'll take 40 but would be awesome if I can get 50. Down in pants size a bit and last Mitch on the ole belt. You?

almost nothing is a real necessity. They amplify the temps on any cooker which allows you to sear better at a lower dome temp. This conserves lump and makes it easier to cook multiple items while maintaining  a reasonable temp. Hey work as advertised as far as I can see. I like em. I haven't turned them over to use as griddle yet, but I'm going to soon.

I need to lose some. I would like to shed about 20. I am down 8 since my last physical, got a long way to go. it took me 10 years to put it on. I am taking slow. Definitely much more chicken, lean cuts, veggies and fish these days, but having the egg helps tremendously. Cutting back on the white carbs, too.
Best of luck my man, go for it.

Good luck Ron. Your approach is the correct one. Mine is the lazy and usually ineffective one. I get down there and takes a couple years of debauchery to get back up to where I was, but it's sooo fun. Then I do it again.

I am down about 25 since before the New Year began. Been traveling of late....hard to hold to it....but have maintained my weight....now to return to more loss. I am looking for about 50# total. When I get there....I will see what my next step is if any.

That's right about where I'm at and where I'm going. I agree with you, it's the routine that makes it possible. Once you get thrown off a routine it's much more difficult. Traveling is not conducive to a routine. Good luck Robin.

That only works for small children. You know you have to look. Free will!
  • Great looking steak. I had a set of a similar looking product (made of aluminium I think) years ago, used them on the gasser. Forget when, but someone told me you want a full mahogany finish across the whole surface and that's what I have been doing ever since. I'd be interested in wether you think the flavor was any different. No question the eye appeal is there.
