One thing I do is hide money in two important spots. I'll hide some cash in the truck, either a couple of $20s or a $100. Would hate to be going somewhere, be low on gas, and realize I don't have my wallet so I can't get back home. This way there's at least gas money in the truck.
I also fold a $100 bill and put it in my phone cover on the back side of the phone. I might forget my wallet, I might forget my phone, but I rarely forget both. This way I have emergency cash for a cab or a purchase. I've had to use the phone money before while buying groceries. Now my phone can work like a credit card so not as necessary as before.

What a great story!!  Thanks for sharing.

  • Reading the news everyday, it's easy to come to the conclusion that there are a whole lot more bad folks out there than good folks. Your story is a great reminder that it's just the opposite. Thanks for sharing!

Glad it all worked out for you Robin. The saying is that people get what they deserve.  Here is another example to verify how true it is.

Recently losing my Father, I too have a new outlook on the general good in the world. So many went out of their way to pay respects to my Family and it was awsome to see how many really care and did something about it.

I am glad you shared your experience with us all. We hear about the bad so much that we sometimes forget the good.

So, you're in San Antonio and in need and didn't call me?  I'm going to PM you my cell phone number.  I live 10 minutes from the airport and have a spare car you can drive if you need it.

At this point it sounds like your problem is solved, but if you've got nothing to do for dinner tomorrow (Wednesday) night, I'll treat.  Or you can come to my house and we'll throw something on my egg.  My wife is out of town so I can make impromptu offers like this.
Fog.....let me say thank yo for the offer. I made it home last night.....or should I say early this morning. I am glad to be back on the home front.....but commit to you that on my next trip out (schedule permitting), we will break bread somewhere. I am a little worried however that your wife has control of your egging cans and can not(s). Just kidding of course.....I know how that goes. Until we meet....cheers.

I'm glad you made it home safely with wallet, etc intact.  I look forward to hearing from you in the future.  You have my cell number.

I have read your story twice and I am still unclear on whether or not this is Hillary's fault :)

Glad to hear that all turned out well.

Great to read and find out that there are decent folks out there. Who do decent things for others.

A few years ago, I got a state ID made at the DMV when I was getting my driving license. I keep that stashed in my carry-on, with some emergency cash. May be something  to consider if you travel alot.

Great to hear. Hopefully some of the same people find the iPad I left in a plane earlier this week. Still no word on it.
