My Post to ---VOTE--- Removed

Spring Chicken

It's a moot point now that the election is over, but I saw where my ---VOTE--- post was removed by the Administrators.

I only posted it to encourage folks to vote, because no matter your politics, your vote is your only way of getting the government you want.  A lot of voters apparently knew that and turned out en masse to make their wishes known.

I did notice that it had over 2k comments before it was removed.  

So thanks to all who voted.

Now to come up with an appropriate 'Post Vote' cook on my Big Green Egg.

I told myself I wouldn't gloat and rub it in here or on Facebook. So far I have kept my word. With that being said if SHE had one there are a few here, we know who they are, that would be rubbing it in relentlessly. The silence is pretty sweet.

You are right. Silence is golden. They are silent now, but give it time. There will be some whining, but there will be more sniping than anything. Like the guy with the bad hairpiece that sold suits used to say, "I guarantee it."

seriously, this is the most decisive and divided group of election results I have even been a part of. So many people genuinely upset and angry and scared today. Sad thing is, as I was telling my distraught wife last night, is we are probably about to learn more about the truth of our government over the next 4 years than we ever have.

on the way I told him Trump won. I have never talked to him about politics or this race. 

His eyes got big and he says

With both houses of Congress and the White House, the next 2 years, (until the 2018 election), will likely determine the fate of the Republican Party for the remainder of my lifetime.

Truth, Justice and the American Way.
I am a liberal. I could not bring myself to vote for the Democratic nominee to lead this country as the president of The United States of America. The bottom line for me, is, I could not trust her with the lives of my children. Pretty basic. 
The Democratic party has lost their focus. The democratic people, of the United States, do not just live in New York, DC or Hollywood. They are not special interest large donors. They are the forgotten folks that built the party, and pay the taxes that have funded the socialist agenda, which is not parallel to the Democratic vision. They have gone too far left.
Trump has 4 years to make a change. I hope the media supports his efforts, and I hope this division in the population is made less severe.
If in 4 years, things have not changed, or have gotten worse, I will dedicate myself to help support change, not only at the top, but in every political position that exists on our votes.
I voted for neither candidate Trump or Clinton. From what I had seen of both, I would have considered it treason against our country to do so.
I hope this election unites us and everyone does their best to strengthen our country.

I like your point of view here, but the media IS the socialist agenda. There is virtually zero chance they will even be fair. They are true believers in the socialist agenda. I hope I am wrong and share your sentiment about the next four years and beyond. The vast majority in the middle have a lot of common ground but have stood by for decades as extreme people have led us in polar directions.
