A big circular storm has sat over us and it has another day to go.

Fortunately for New Orleans proper, we're in the "eye" so we don't have it so bad.  But the Gov declared a state disaster and many people North, West and South of New Orleans are in the middle of a devastating flood.

Over in the Fl panhandle we have been getting moderate rain showers for at least 3 days now but they never stop. Got out yesterday and bleached the back sidewalk before I bust my ass from the green slim. It was back today, will have to break out the pressure washer and hit it in the morn rain or shine.

@Randall_Lee yep did the same just before summer weather hit. And it's already almost time to hit it again so it doesn't buildup from the sporadic showers, humidity and at times torrential rain. Knock on wood no tropical landfalls here yet this season.  Hopefully the country can dodge the destructive tropical stuff this year.

CBS reported tonight to keep your head down or at least above water for as much as another five days. The big "L" over you is stuck behind a high that will not leave the east coast. 
Keep your powder, lump, dry and hope you stay in the eye.

@johnmitchell Nope.  It's just hanging around.  New Orleans is fine.  Just about everyone around us is flooding bad.  We had a century flood in March, now we're getting two in one year.  Crazy.

New Orleans city is totally cool.  We don't have any rivers that flood from local rain.  We didn't get anywhere near 30 inches.  Business as usual here.  They are asking for volunteers to work red cross shelters.  I'm thinking about doing that if I can get away from work a couple of days.

Was in Seaside all week. Always I-10 and went I-10. 
But to come home (drove the 800 miles) but on I-20 and not the rain we expected Yesterday. 
The beaches flying double red flags the last 3 full days so no in the water. Rained all 7 days.

controversial I know . . but the amount of extreme weather HAS HAS HAS to be related to our warming climate AKA global warming - right? Feels like the new norm.  My inlaws are smart ppl (even though they support Trump - gag me) and they 100% say global warming is a myth.  Once again, forget the whole "man caused OR natures cycle" talk  . . . they say it is completely fabricated by dems to support an agenda.  I think they are brainwashed  by fox news - it is all they ever ever listen too . . this kind of extreme weather is unprecedented.  Period.
