Longhorn Beef Back Ribs

First try at beef ribs on the XL. They turned out great.

2 racks of Longhorn Beef Back Ribs.  Meat Church "Holy Cow" rub.  250 for 5 hours (no foil).  Sauced one with Sweet Baby Rays with 20 mins left.  To me the sauced rib beat out the dry.

Welcome aboard and enjoy the journey.  Great ribs right there-congrats.  Beef ribs beat their pork cousins every time.

Those look great! Did you spritz with apple juice or anything? I find that my beef ribs tend to dry out, but I can't find any that meaty where I live

  • Thanks for the kind words. First time I've seen them at the butcher.  Hope it's not the last.

Didn't use any spritz on them.  Didn't open the lid till about 4.5 hrs in.  I didn't remove the membrane - some say that helps keep the juice in.
