I wouldn't go on the trip my friend. These trips happen often here out of Jville if I'm not mistaken.  I'd take your wife on a beach stroll etc. Missing an anniversary to go be with the fellas??? :nuh_uh: No Bueno

At this point, best case if you do go, you're going to be thinking about and worrying about your wife and anniversary the whole time anyway.
    Love you bro!

So we have the kind of relationship where our financial accounts are completely separate. I spend my money and so does she. I take care of the mortgage and she takes care of the other bills. I bought a truck without her knowledge. She was pissed at first but she soon realized that it had noting to do with her income she was OK. If I need money she will give it to me, vice versa. No arguments

If nothing else have a honest discussion about it- if she's pissed don't go. If she really doesn't care then have at it. But I would get all the cards on the table so I wouldn't have to hear about it for the next 30 years.

Dude, I have made some incredibly bad decisions in my life, and I can't begin to tell you how many.
This one, though, I would never do.
This will be non recoverable for you, costing you thousands, and other potentially epic opportunities.
Just curious, what kind of beer you keep in the fridge, and how much?
You might want to check on it when you get home.

This changes things. Redheads have higher pain tolerances than most (scientifically proven). Tread carefully.

You might think about cross referencing the length of married life to the advice you've been given.  I'm working on my 47th year of marriage ... my best advice is "don't go."

How many years have you been married? I would be very disappointed in you for not remembering the anniversary and absolutely pissed if you didn't seek to rectify your error when you discovered the conflict. It was never her responsibility to remind you of your anniversary and Based on your report of how she revealed her feelings to you, she isn't pleased and you actually going would be adding insult to injury. But it's up to you to decide whether you value your wife or your buddies more.

I think you should go.  This could turn out to be the trip of a lifetime.   Wives can, and are, routinely replaced.

Wait, don't listen to me, I'm single.   Probably should go with the married oldtimers advice.
