Apologies?  I'm bummed I missed the fireworks.

Truthfully, I hope things calm down for you.  This place is like a 24/7 bar.  All are friends, just some weirder than others.

I hate it when Isaac calls me weird!  But agree with his sentiment.

Dude. This forum is defined by questionable behavior, and mental health troubles. There are no issues, you are fine. Stress sucks, and this is a place to get through it. Hope whatever the tough situation was, has moved on.

That is definitely a rough thing to have to go thru.

We are all a little mental here at times.  I think its a requirement!

We have always had more than one pup. We also have always had to seperate them at feeding time. For the last 4 or 5 years I always stood by Momma when she was eating...sort of her protector. Now I can't look at where Queenie used to eat without crying...

Sorry for your loss.  My lab for 13 years was put down this past summer.  It is never easy to lose a best friend and family member.

The above was my original response to your initial post. I am hoping the resulting sadness, of such a needed decision made by you, will not linger, and will be replaced by the beautiful memories of time spent together.

As odd as it may seem, it was an effort at providing support. I do hope you get through it. Be strong.

    Peace.

Sorry for your loss.  Never easy losing a four legged family member.
I'm not sure if I have seen anyone acting ill behaved on here?   Maybe I just like ill behavior.

I am a dog person, and I am highly suspicious of someone that isn't. My dog will be 8 next month. My wife has said on more than one occasion "if you loved me 1/2 as much as you love Sam...."

I told her he can't talk so that might be why I love him so much.

I'm sure there are a lot of folks here that empathize with the stress you have been under. It's never an easy decision to decide when the time is right to do what you had to do. So sorry about your baby. Go ahead and cry. I cried off and on for at least a year when we had to put down Scooter that I bottle fed when he was a baby after being abandoned by his mother when he was less than 24 hours old. He gave us 13 years of love, but cancer took him. It truly sucks. Remember, you're always safe here.

I sincerely appreciate your words of support. My wife and I were indeed Mommas protectors. In the past 3 years we have lost 3 of our pups. Queenie was by far, the hardest. Like anyone who has went thru this we struggled with this decision. Ernestina had her phone set to dial the Vets office yesterday morning to cancel....but we are glad shredded didn't. We were both afraid that we may have woken up one morning to find her, lifeless, outside. That would have been extremely difficult for me to live with....that is no way for a pup to pass. All 3 of the pups we have lost all died the same way they spent there entire lives....in my wifes loving arms.
Like to thank you folks for helping me thru this difficult time...
