In New Orleans proper, we've just had some wind and rain. There have been some nasty tornados outside of the city, and I don't think it's quite done yet.

We had some strong wind and not nearly as much rain as I expected. Everyone at work had to take shelter when the tornado sirens went off. We're right by the airport - I think there may have been a tornado by the runway. I haven't checked out the rumors.
No power outage - I heard there were some. A huge baptist church wall crumbled - I'm sure that was wind and not god. Some roofs blew off, etc. We're fine.
Now all my vehicles except the truck are a mile away in the warehouse. Looks like I'm driving the truck to work tomorrow.

Hope everyone over there are safe and sound, it started moving into the Fl panhandle a few hours ago. Have Tornado's warning/watch's out for the past couple hours, got about 2-3 hours to go. So far here just heavy rain and some wind.Niceville, Fl

It took out a few feet of fence in my back yard and blew the cover off my Blackstone Grill before it moved out of town toward Louisiana. I haven't been outside to see if there was any other damage. Also knocked out power to 5,000 Spring residences. We were not among them. We had at least 2" of rain here at the Chicken Ranch. Sun is shining and the air is fresh right now.

Same storm is dumping a ton of snow here. The County declared a Snow Emergency. That almost never happens. I'm leaving work at noon and I'm not supposed to return until Friday.Flint, Michigan

Thank ya'll!! This is why I love this community! While there was lots of news about terrible weather. Outside of wind and a broken umbrella on my porch I'm just fine. Hardly rained.
