    This is clearly a clusterflck and the poor exposed kids and their parents are innocent losers.  Decision makers have to be accountable.  Excellent example of gubament taking care of their charge, the people.

    I'm sorry guys but I don't get it. I'm on a well, my 3rd one in fact on this property. The first thing you do as common knowledge is as soon as the well is done, you drop a few handfuls of chlorine tabs in it. Wait a day and have the well water tested for various living organisms, phosphors from farm runoff and heavy metals. 

    Not it to jump on the blame game band wagon but wouldn't someone have taken a sample or the river water BEFORE deciding to switch over? Here in my city in Ohio, those that have access to city water are drinking the same well water as I am. The city put in a few new well fields in a few years ago. They drilled, they tested the water before plumbing it into the towers. Just basic stuff.

    What needed to be done is well understood and quite basic to the water treatment industry.  It just was not done.  Why was it not done? Opinions as to why vary. It may have been total incompetence or may have been a complete desire to save every penny combined with an indifferent attitude towards the health risk to the residents of Flint.

    I think this thread came back from total banishment by the buffalo.  I looked for it on my phone through page six and it wasn't there.  The buffalo is stealthy and tricky!
