it was a mess but no permanent damage done. We are still finding little bits of fruit in the oddest places.Austin Egghead said:The veggie gods are not pleased with you. Glad only the kitchen wall was "injured" and not you.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX -

+ 2 on the Vitamix. Really? Turn it a few times? Glad you were not injured.

Update- New jar showed up today no questions asked. I've had it 4 years and it's worked like a champ except one time when it exploded. They fixed it ( a full year out of warranty I might add), so I'm cool with it. Still happy.
BTW- My Thermapen just went back to Thermoworks for the 2nd time in a year. They fixed it for free. I'm still happy. The only original part on egg #1 is the dome. All fixed for free under warranty. I'm hard on stuff, stuff breaks. I buy good stuff with good warranties and I expect to get good service when I need it. Can't recall a time that I haven't gotten that with any of these brands.
Oh yeah, my thumb is growing back in nicely so all is right with the world!

I thought Blendtec comes with 8-yr warranty.
+1 for Thermapen, they replaced mine out of warranty too.canuckland -
jar has 3, motor has 7 (or maybe now 8). Same as Vitamix. When one does something, the other does it too.Canugghead said:I thought Blendtec comes with 8-yr warranty.

I'd take blend tec any day over vitamix. I'm in year 6.... Fed both my kids who never once had a jar of baby food... Made it all on the fine machine. these days it's smoothies for the family. Kids love it and know to cover their ears
