OT Rum drinkers?

Lol , me too Greg.  I was at UGA in 1977.  I got sick as a Bulldog too. My roommate was ironically a Greg W (Webster in this case)!   Great times on campus at UGA that year.

I like beer and bourbon.  When I'm in the mood for rum, I like an amusing spirit distilled by a Caribbean pirate!  I figure he still has both of his eyes, so he must be doing something right.

Spent 5 years in El Salvador.  Drank way too much Flor de Caña.  A very good rum with just an ice cube.  Forget the coke.

@DoubleEgger I find it to be fairly stiff...from what a few lady friends told me....it is hard to swallow and has a bit of a "salty" after taste

Rum is for flaming and mixed drinks, bourbon is for sipping, neat or chilled. Boarding my bias.

Aniverasrio is the rum I bring out when my best friends come visiting.

I have a buddy that goes to Cuba as he works on charter flights from Miami and he brings back Havana Club which is very good too.

I realize this is an older thread but just returned from a vacation in Cuba and consumed a fair amount of rum. BIL gifted me this bottle at Christmas and was wondering if anyone has tried it? 

I’m assuming it should be drank on the rocks and not mixed with coke like Cubans like to do it.
