GregW said:I had a very bad experience with Rum at a young age. Drinking half a bottle in a short period of time turned out to be a really bad idea. Thing was I really enjoyed the taste. I find that the taste not very appealing now.....nearly 30 years later.LBGE, AR. Lives in N.E. ATL

I like beer and bourbon. When I'm in the mood for rum, I like an amusing spirit distilled by a Caribbean pirate! I figure he still has both of his eyes, so he must be doing something right.

This is pretty good local spiced rum. The spices are only found here from what I understand.

I have a buddy that goes to Cuba as he works on charter flights from Miami and he brings back Havana Club which is very good too.

My goto - sweet but very good, often called the bourbon of Guyana.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

I realize this is an older thread but just returned from a vacation in Cuba and consumed a fair amount of rum. BIL gifted me this bottle at Christmas and was wondering if anyone has tried it?I’m assuming it should be drank on the rocks and not mixed with coke like Cubans like to do it.St Marys, Ontario, Canada LBGE

Might not even need the rocks...
