I learned this song live, on stage, as a mediocre fiddler who was picked up by a local band. Loved the lyrics. Didn't care for the short female part in the middle, and after seeing the video (it was a male falsetto) care even less.
35 years later, after reconnecting with a few friends via Facebook, this song has even more meaning to me, and hurts even worse. Damn.

I about wore this one out when it was released (which is saying something for a CD) and have been listening to it again in the truck this week; although the synth sounds are very "dated" (something a synth player would notice) its still a very well-recorded and good-sounding album.
