They are for me. You have to let the sulfur burn off the match and then use what’s left of the match. I prefer to gently light the cigar with a butane lighter. I hold the cigar in one hand and gently heat it up with the lighter in the other hand Once it’s heated up evenly and burning, I begin to smoke it.
